This study aim on vertical folding convertible body design. The patents and related existing designs are collected for analyzing to obtain the design requirements and constraints. This will facilitate new design of mechanisms and also help for the arrangement of the linkages and roof panels. The new design then be particularized and verified by the analysis of angular displacement, angular velocity, angular acceleration, and balancing torque by vector loop method and virtual work method.
