Mechanical properties of glass fiber polymer composited with nanoclay and carbon nanofiber (CNF) are presented in the study. Polymer nanocomposited specimens are prepared by vacuum pressure casting method. They were prepared by adding different weight ratio of nanoclay from 1 to 6 wt% and CNF from 0.4 to 1 wt%. The resin is mixture of E- 120C and H-100 in the volume ratio of 3 to 1. Mechanical properties of composited materials are studied by wear test, hardness test and bending stiffness measurement. The test results are shown that adding nanoclay contributes to the augmentation of wear, hardness and stiffness properties of polymer composited materials and the best weight ratio of nanoclay are 2 wt%. The adding CNF also improves these properties of polymer composited. The surface hardness and stiffness are increased with the increase of contents of CNF. When the adding ratio is over 0.6 wt% then the anti-wear property is kept similarly. From the study, the increase of mechanical properties are similar at nanoclay and CNF adding in composited material. Nanoclay is cheaper than CNF and will have good potential in the application of industry.
