停車科技的發展在歐美等國智慧運輸系統的架構中較少被提及,但在道路面積狹小,車輛無處可停的亞洲,卻因為實際需求的發生,近幾年吸引大量廠商前仆後繼的投入,並且取得了為數可觀的成果。隨著物聯網科技的成熟,智慧停車系統所產生的大量資訊更已逐漸成為交通管理系統和用路人資訊系統的重要參數。過去數年來,台灣在路外停車場的智慧化同樣取得了非凡的成就,舉凡車牌辨識、RFID標籤讀取、在席偵測、App開發、後台管理、和金流支付串接等,都已經逐步完成測試,並上線營運,逐漸取代停車管理所需投入的大量人力。近年開發重點移轉到路邊停車技術,並有廠商透過智慧化的停車收費柱,提供停車引導、在席偵測、車牌辨識、和現場繳費的整合技術,不但有效提高路邊停車收費和管理的效率,也一併解決了少子化後勞動力短缺的問題。由於需求量大,預期未來停車科技將成為亞洲智慧城市導入的重點,並且有機會成為台灣向其他國家和地區輸出科技應用的典範,值得產官學研各界更進一步的投入。

英文摘要

Parking management in crowded and populated Asian cities is an important tool to make sure limited road space and parking facilities can be efficiently utilized. Though not a mainstream application of traditional ITS technologies, the development of smart parking is quite popular in Asia, especially in Taiwan. Recent technologies applied in parking management includes license plate recognition, RFID tag reading, parking space occupancy detection, parking App development, parking management software, and multi-payment gateways. Through these technologies, parking lots are able to hire fewer workforces to solve the problem of labor shortage in the future. In addition to off-road parking technologies, they are also firms aiming on road side parking technology development. One of the solutions launched recently is the smart meter which integrates parking guidance, parking space occupancy detection, license plate recognition, and on-site cashless payment technologies. It provides accurate parking information, also increases parking revenue, and improves parking turnover rate of road side parking.
