本研究係建立特殊分析方法，以測定低階氪－85（^(85)Kr）在放射性廢水中之含量。氦氣被用作載體氣體，將氪－85由廢水中帶出，逸出之氪－85則在液熊氮溫度下被活性碳吸附，其他水蒸氣及氣體則流經矽膠或分子篩分離管時被吸附除去，以達純化氪－85的目的，並以鍺（鋰）半導體偵檢器測定氪－85之放射活性，本方法之靈敏度可達1×10^(-7)毫居里／毫升。

A method has been devleoped for the analysis of low level ^(85)Kr in radioactive liquid waste discharged from nuclear power plant. Helium was used a carrier gas to purge out the dissolved ^(85)Kr in liquid waste sample. Moisture and other gases were removed by using silica gel and molecular sieve absorbent. The ^(85) Kr thus removed was absorbed in active carbon at liquid nitrogen temperature. The activity of ^(85)Kr was measured with a Ge(Li) detector. The detection limit of this measurement is 1x10^(-7) μCi /ml.
