安全氣囊系統在汽車受到鐘擊時,自感測系統判斷是否啟動安全氣冀,一旦決定啟動,充氣器內的氣體產生劑在40毫秒內會釋放出無毒的氣體,將方向搜查核衝破,使安全氣囊脹開,以保護人員的頭部、頸部及胸部。本文介紹安全氣囊的動作機制,並對火聲巨型氣也產生劑的組成、功能、燃燒性能、藥錠設計、60公升充氣槽測試及新型氣也產生劑加以論述。

英文摘要

When the car crashes the sensor of the automotive airbag system decides whether to ignite the airbag or not. When a severe crash is indicated, the gas generant in the inflator will produce non-toxic gas to break the cover of the steering wheel then inflate the bag within 40 msec to protect the occupant's head, neck and chest. In this paper the function of the airbag is introduced. The compositions, combustion characteristics and design of the gas generator propellant are discussed. The propellant were load into airbag inflator hardware for 60 liter tank tester to validate inflator performance. The recent development of the new gas generator propellants have also been presented.
