《玄天上帝說報父母恩重經》，乃玄天上帝感於父母生恩重大，生養兒女之艱難，故演說此經，勸導世人宜通透世情，深加修行，以報答父母之重恩。全篇先談做人，再談做人子女，而後揭示成全途徑。其一，通透世人因緣關係。1、「緣，行，妙，無」四境界；2、「修，積，證，通」四功夫。其二，父母生養艱難，著相多苦。1、始相我相，生生不息。2、我既託相，日惱父母。其三，指引離苦報恩的途徑。1、我滅貪嗔嶮峻，用報始相。2、始相無相無著，自然去累。道家主張修道需先修人道，人道以孝道為先。行孝為成道之基本，玄天上帝智慧通透，修持圓滿，以孝行證大道，足為行孝成道之典範。

Taoism advocates that cultivation must first cultivate humanity, and humanity should give priority to filial piety. Filial piety is the foundation of enlightenment, and Xuantian God's wisdom is transparent, and his practice is complete, and the road of filial piety is enough to be a model for practicing filial piety and becoming enlightened.
