英文摘要 |
In the 2000s wellbeing has become one of the main topics in popular discourse in Korean society. In popular discourse food is an important part of wellbeing. People have shown great interest in healthy food which includes organic food, slow food, traditional food, and so on. In such circumstances, people's perception and consumption of food began to change. Chinese food which has long been a very popular food is also experiencing various changes. This paper intends to collect and analyze data on people's perception of Chinese food as well as on consumption pattern of Chinese food in connection with wellbeing discourse. The other important topic of this paper will be the responses of Chinese restaurants to these changing circumstances. Since Chinese food tends to be regarded as 'unhealthy' and Chinese restaurants have a bad reputation for its 'uncleanness' and 'oldness', an inquiry into the restaurateurs' strategies for adapting themselves to these changes will be very interesting. |
