在婦產科癌症的化學治療中，仍有不少比例的患者因其引起之噁心和嘔吐，影響生活品質，進而影響治療的成敗。現階段，對高、中度致吐的化學治療藥物，主張合併使用以1 項含5HT3和NK-1 接受器之拮抗劑藥物，再加上dexamethasone。Rolapitant 乃新一代NK-1 接受器之拮抗劑藥物，使用方便，半衰期長達180 小時，且副作用少，效果也佳，尤其可用來預防化療藥物引起的延遲性噁心和嘔吐。2015 年9 月獲得美國食品藥物管理局（FDA）通過。
