根管治療後的牙齒贗復方式包含以下幾種:樹脂填補、全覆蓋型牙冠、嵌體、髓腔固位冠等等。覆蓋式嵌體依材質分為鑄造嵌體及陶瓷嵌體,鑄造嵌體需精細的修磨,不論是機械強度或贗復物存活率,皆有很好的表現。陶瓷嵌體則需將齒質較圓潤且平滑的修磨,機械性質及存活率亦有不錯的表現。然而當牙冠部位齒質破壞程度更嚴重,同時牙根又較為彎曲脆弱,不適合進行牙根柱的放置,或者咬合空間不足,則可使用髓腔固位冠進行復形。髓腔固位冠條件上需要足夠深度的牙髓腔,及一定厚度的剩餘齒壁,機械性質的部分,若是使用陶瓷材料的髓腔固位冠,不論是承受垂直或側向力皆有好的表現,唯長期存活率仍有待觀察。
