二甲基乙醯胺是一種具肝毒性、神經毒性、皮膚與眼睛刺激性的有機溶劑。它也是一種中等效力的生殖毒物，歐盟於2011年將其分類為具生殖毒性的高度關注物質(substance of very high concern)清單上。由於二甲基乙醯胺與水及其他許多有機溶劑有極佳的互容性，較二甲基甲醯胺具有更好的熱穩定性和化學穩定性，毒性也較低，所以在合成材料、醫藥、農藥、化纖、石油加工及有機顏料等領域有著廣泛的應用。近年來，國內使用二甲基乙醯胺亦有逐漸增加的趨勢。二甲基乙醯胺中毒案例並不常見，本文將分享本院職業傷病防治中心的臨床案例，並深入介紹二甲基乙醯胺的中毒特性及暴露危害，提升臨床工作者對於處理此類病患的認知與醫療品質。
