冠狀動脈心臟病是臺灣十大死因之第二位。隨著科技進步，冠狀動脈心臟病除了藥物治療外，經皮介入性心導管也是重要的一環；如何運用心導管與介入性治療來達到最好的治療效果一直是心臟科醫師最關心的議題。血流儲備分數(fraction flow reserve)是實行心導管檢查時，用來判斷血管病灶有無顯著影響到血流的方法之一。目前已有相當多的臨床證據支持血流儲備分數(fraction flow reserve)可以幫助心臟科醫師來評估病人在實行心導管檢查時，對血管病灶做更好的處置。
