餓骨症候群(hungry bone syndrome) ； 原發性副甲狀腺功能亢進(primary hyperparathyroidism) ； 低血鈣(hypocalcemia)

副甲狀腺功能亢進的病人在成功接受副甲狀腺切除術後血中鈣離子濃度會迅速降低，然而若術後4天仍持續有低血鈣的情形則需考慮是否發生餓骨症候群(hungry bone syndrome)。術前生化指標的檢驗如副甲狀腺素，及骨骼的評估如X光檢查，有助於發現高風險病患。治療則以矯正低血鈣及骨骼病變為目標，需積極投予鈣及活性維生素D補充。術前預防性治療方面則缺乏實證資料，有待進一步研究。
