子宮肌瘤是生育年齡婦女最常發生的腫瘤之一,發生在50-60%的女性中,其中約30%會出現月經血量過多、經痛、因肌瘤體積過大產生壓迫症狀、不孕症和產科併發症等等。臨床上對於有症狀的肌瘤患者,會先以藥物治療為第一考量,但是對於藥物治療效果不佳的病患,手術治療是經常施行的治療方式,包括肌瘤切除術或全子宮切除術。然而,有些婦女考量生育計劃或是個人因素不想接受子宮切除手術者,臨床上也有替代性的低侵入性子宮肌瘤治療方式,本文將介紹現行低侵入性的子宮肌瘤治療方式-射頻消融術(radiofrequency ablation, RFA)、子宮動脈栓塞(uterine artery embolization, UAE)和聚焦超音波(MR guidance focused ultrasound, MRgFUS or ultrasound guidance focused ultrasound, USgFUS, 海扶刀[high intensity focused ultrasound, HIFU])。
