鈥雷射(holmium laser)是目前應用在結石最廣泛使用之碎石工具,除了可以被水吸收,避免熱效應傷害到周邊組織外,作用較窄且適中的穿透深度,適合用於結石剝蝕(ablation),也可以避免直接傷害到管壁;主唾液腺結石是最常見之唾液腺疾病之一,以下頷腺占多數,治療以唾液腺內視鏡手術為主,改變過去以往需將唾液腺移除之治療方式,可以只將阻塞之結石移除,保留唾液腺體,恢復原有功能,合併鈥雷射使用,搭配較細之雷射纖維,應用在大小3公厘以上之結石,在內視鏡下若可以清楚地看到結石,即可將結石擊碎並逐一取出,成功率約八成以上,是一個非常安全及有效之治療方式。
