目前心律調節器的主流為經靜脈心律調節器，由置於皮下的脈衝產生器（subcutaneous pulse generator）、電極（electrode）以及導線（lead）組成，以一定的速度將電刺激傳到心臟，使心臟維持脈動。這項技術已發展良久，具有相當的安全性，但仍有少數患者會出現併發症，而這些併發症往往與導線或皮下的心律調節器相關。近幾年來，開始有新型的無導線心律調節器（leadless pacemaker）出現，省卻了傳統的導線及置於皮下的心律調節器，提供臨床治療更多的選擇。因此本文會就無導線心律調節器做一初步的簡介，並探討其臨床的運用。
