2019年新型冠狀病毒肺炎(COVID-19)於2019年12月首次在中國武漢被發現。2020年3月,世界衛生組織宣布COVID-19為全球大流行疾病。患有多重慢性疾病的人感染COVID-19的風險可能更大,並且可能會出現嚴重的併發症。COVID-19有可能以各種方式影響愛滋病患者,包括增加感染COVID-19的風險以及中斷HIV相關的就醫治療。本篇文章主要目的是評估COVID-19對於愛滋病患者的影響。內容分為4個主題,包括:(1)SARS-CoV-2和HIV感染者的病理生理學和宿主免疫反應;(2)SARS-CoV-2和HIV合併感染者的臨床表現和治療結果;(3)評估抗反轉錄病毒藥物對感染COVID-19的愛滋病患者之影響;(4)觀察COVID-19大流行對愛滋病患者就醫服務的影響。
