跌倒是高齡族群最常見意外事件，社區高齡族群每年跌倒發生率近30%，容易出現反覆跌倒情況，更增加未來死亡、非預期住院、失能、憂鬱、社交孤立、與早期入住機構等不良健康預後風險。世界高齡族群跌倒預防與處置準則跟美國疾病與防與管制中心CDC跌倒預防計畫皆持續強調適當跌倒風險評估、行動能力檢測、複合風險因素確認、以及多面向介入策略的重要性，重視增加跌倒風險用藥應該確認其使用適應症、個別化疾病控制目標、進行停藥、轉換、或藥物減量等處置。本文將就跌倒流行病學、建議評估流程、常用檢測方式、與多面向介入方式進行簡單介紹，期望提升不同領域專業服務提供人員認識跌倒重要性，預防隨時可能發生在生活周遭的跌倒意外。
