誰是博物館教育人員？他們需要什麼？：初探博物館教育人員專業生涯發展現況與需求

教育為博物館的重要使命，博物館教育人員為博物館落實教育功能的關鍵。然而，誰在扮演博物館教育人員的角色？他們之於專業生涯發展的需求為何？筆者試圖透過郵寄問卷調查研究解答心中疑惑。調查研究的歷程中浮現「博物館教育專業以及博物館教育專業人員是否普遍存在？」的問題，調查結果有助於初步瞭解博物館教育人員的性別、年齡、教育背景、相關工作經驗與工作環境，說明研究參與者對於博物館教育人員應具備之專業條件與知識背景的想法，並透露博物館教育人員工作所需之訓練課程與所面對的困難。博物館教育人員生涯發展郵寄問卷調查的歷程與結果一再呈現「博物館教育專業社群是否存在？社群意識為何？」的問題。博物館教育人員成長團體的機能與重要性因應而生。本文最後說明此調查研究徵集「博物館教育成長團體」的嘗試與後續行動，強調博物館教育人員自己即是博物館教育專業社群建立與發展的關鍵。
