Sculpture parks are the combination of art museum and park. Compared with indoor art museums, outdoor sculpture parks are better equipped to change the way the public views, perceives, and appreciates art during pandemics. During the COVID-19 pandemic, which began in early 2020, the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts and Sculpture Park of the University of East Anglia continued to serve Norwich City residents, providing them with art services and art education. The aim of this study was to explore how this sculpture park merges outdoor sculptures with the natural environment to evoke "body-sense" and inspires the public to ponder issues such as the value of life and the changes that are taking place in the world. Based on interviews with Calvin Winner, chief curator of the Sculpture Park of the University of East Anglia, and the members of his team, the goals of outdoor exhibitions hosted by sculpture parks include bridging the distance between art and the public and prompting them to "interact" with sculpture, the world, and themselves. Furthermore, the "foresight" of the Sculpture Park of the University of East Anglia in terms of exhibition and education is referenced to understand how art museums can exhibit art and enable the public to experience art in the post-pandemic era.
