韓壽萱先生關於傳統手工藝保護與博物館的論述與實踐，是其博物館學思想的重要組成部分，為當代非物質文化遺產保護提供了重要的理論與實踐依據。他極為重視傳統手工藝的遺產價值，並將其概括為美學、經濟、史料、產業四重價值。在此基礎上，韓壽萱倡導先建立博物館的附設機構，逐步建設獨立的手工藝博物館，再透過舉辦展覽及配套活動，以實現手工藝保護與復興的目的。

The discussion and practice of traditional handicrafts preservation among and by museums are essential to Han Shouxuan's thoughts on museology. He attached great importance to traditional handicrafts, due to their four values: aesthetic, economic, historical, and industrial, and advocated for their protection and revival, providing a significant theoretical and practical basis for contemporary intangible cultural heritage preservation. Moreover, he proposed that the first step in building an independent handicrafts museum is the development of affiliated institutions, followed by the organization of exhibitions and activities, to achieve the goals of preserving and reviving traditional handicrafts.
