布袋戲是臺灣傳統文化之一，是以木偶、道具、劇情、口白、樂曲等多種元素，所組成的戲劇性表演。影視布袋戲以華麗炫目的表演為主要發展，與過去野台布袋戲的整體畫面呈現相差甚遠，卻又保留著野台布袋戲表演的肢體動作與氛圍呈現概念。武打戲中，現代影視布袋戲利用電腦後製效果，模擬、創造出野台布袋戲所無法呈現的畫面張力與氣氛。本研究將針對兩者視覺特效做一比較、分析，建構一個武戲特效資料庫，提供給後製特效人員或有興趣從事相關研究者參考。資料庫分為兩大類：1.野台布袋戲與現今影視布袋戲所呈現的相同意境畫面，以五種情況所呈現的構面來做分析（刀光劍影－角色間的氣功、刀光劍影－招式間的碰撞、療傷調息、出場氣勢、道具）。2.野台布袋戲效果無法呈現的意象，並以三種常見狀況做解析（環境與空間、戲偶第一人稱的狀態、速度感）。

Budaixi, the hand puppet show, is a traditional culture of Taiwan. It is a dramatic performance composed of puppets, props, scenario, voice over, music and other elements. The Modern Television Puppet Show (Modern TV Puppet Show) is mainly developed with gorgeous performances. There are big differences from the Traditional Outdoor Glove Puppet Show. However, it retains the characters of body language and visual atmosphere in the Traditional Outdoor Glove Puppet Show. In action shows, Modern TV Puppet Show uses post-production to do digital visual effects (digital VFX) to simulate and create the visual tension and atmosphere which are the Traditional Outdoor Glove Puppet Show not able to represent. The aim of this study is to build up a database for Taiwan traditional hand puppet action show VFX through the comparison and analysis of visual effects from above two kinds of show, and to be references for the people who are post-production designers or interested in this field. This action show database includes two categories: 1.The different techniques of visual effects are represented in Traditional Outdoor Glove Puppet Show and Modern TV Puppet Show for the same situations in action shows. Also 5 sub- categories for it are: (1) the VFX for prop motions: used for the Qigong (breathing technique) between characters; (2) the VFX for prop motions: used for the collisions between actions; (3) healing and controlling respiration; (4) imposing appearance; (5) props. 2. The atmospheres are not able to represent in the Traditional Outdoor Glove Puppet Show. Also 3 sub- categories for it are: (1) environments and spaces; (2) puppet as the 1st perspective; (3) speeds of the motions.
