女性真如別人所「讚美」的天生具有母愛的光輝嗎？而母親就該為家庭、孩子犧牲而無怨無悔嗎？「奉獻犧牲」對女人（母親）而言，到底是一種權力剝奪還是一種讚美？如果是讚美，女性主義千方百計消弭社會加諸「母親」的光環，又是為什麼？藉《小婦人》、《花粉的房間》、《媽媽、爸爸、我和她》等三本刻畫母親的小說，筆者試圖以其中對於「母親」角色形象的描寫，來說明一般社會加諸於母親的要求，並嘗試重新省思、定義「母親」這個角色。

Is it true that women have innate love for children? Or that women are destined for the devotion to their families? When women make self-sacrifices according to the expectation of our society, are they really getting the highest praise or being deprived of their power? If the answer is the former, why do feminists try to stop keeping honoring the role of a mother? In this article, the author choose three young adult fictions, 《Little Women》、《Das Biütenstaubzimmer》、《Mutter, Vater, ich und sie》, and puts the focus on the role of a mother. The aim is to reveal the fetter which women are forced to wear in our society, and renew the definition of the role of a mother.
