全球化與科技的快速發展，改變了商業模式及運作方法，訊息與知識的產生與傳遞方式及速度，也因此有革命性的變化，商學對外在環境變化及市場反應非常敏銳，是一個高度競爭的學術領域，因此全球各商管學院在教育創新與永續經營上，受到巨大的壓力。身處臺灣的商管學院遭逢更嚴峻的挑戰，面臨少子化、教師斷層、資源不足、及公民意識的干預等。即使在這樣艱難的環境下，許多教師仍能夠有熱情、有理想，主動在選擇的領域，做出令人驚嘆與感動的成果。本文的主要目的，是分享自己近40年學術經歷的體驗、觀察及感想，希望能鼓勵更多的老師，願意分享學術生涯的經驗與建議，提供互相學習及鼓勵的機會，促成臺灣商管教育的進步，也希望能提高年輕學子進入學術界的興趣。
