本文探討陸游志趣從淳熙十六年（1189）開始轉移的過程與原因，以及新志趣對他的影響與意義。本文以陸游的經歷事蹟與詩文作品為據，討論上述問題。正文部分，首先結合陸游的政治經歷與對政局的理解，觀察其追求功名之志在淳熙十六年前後的強弱變化；其次討論陸氏自光宗朝（1190-1194）起修身之志趣的兩個關懷重心，及其對陸氏的作用與意義。經研究後發現，陸游強烈的功名之志，在光宗即位後因為對十餘年來世事的認識、體悟而逐漸消減，並在嘉泰三年（1203）返鄉後近乎沉潛。與之相應的則是其修身之志的逐漸明確、強化。陸游的修身之志包含「盡性」與「化俗」雙重關懷，這是他晚年平靜之感的重要來源，使他在修煉理想人格與確立自我價值的過程中，感到充實與坦然。

This essay investigates both the cause and process in which Lu You's interest in life began to change beginning in 1189, and the influence and meaning of his new interest. This investigation is based on Lu You's personal history and writings. On the basis of Lu You's involvement in and understanding of politics, the first part of this essay studies th his diminishing interest for political achievement and fame before and after 1189. The second part then explores two main concerns of Lu You's interest for personal cultivation under the government of Emperor Guangzong (1190-1194). The author attempts to show that, since the succession of Emperor Guangzong, Lu You's strong interest for achievement and fame gradually waned due to his life experience and insight into political affairs, and that this interest almost entirely disappeared after his retirement in 1203. In direct correspondence with his waning interest in fame is his gradual increase of interest in personal cultivation. This interest in personal cultivation consisted of two main concerns: the perfection of his nature and the education of the common people. It was a source of inner peace and contentment for him and the fountainhead of his self-esteem.
