在本文中,我將循著李歐梵所指出的魯迅身上廣泛而長期存在的「反差」與「衝突」,探索魯迅長期以來被戰鬥、戰士、民族魂、批判國民性、反帝反封建等等如此目標明確、旗幟鮮明的革命者身分掩蓋下「反差」而「衝突」的另外面目。我認為魯迅戰士的面目之所以長期存在,與〈狂人日記〉這一擁有強烈啟蒙意識以及在啟蒙與革命的背景下所創作出的小說長期作為魯迅文學的源頭有著合謀關係。由此,我藉由破除對於單一源頭的崇拜,引入傅柯對於開端與源頭的仔細分辨並放逐源頭在系譜學中存在意義,以及王德威在研究現代中國文學時所提出的多重緣起,將魯迅在辛亥革命以前所創作的「講私塾裡的事情」的抒情之作〈懷舊〉視為魯迅文學的多元開端之一。更進一步地,我將藉由對於收錄於《彷徨》中的〈傷逝〉與〈在酒樓上〉這兩篇小說,分析並指出魯迅在抒情過程中依然存在的「反差」與「衝突」。我嘗試以這兩篇小說中所呈現的一種關於時光流逝與人世變遷的歎逝為例。這種歎逝姿態自古詩十九首開端,長期存在於中國古典的抒情傳統之中。魯迅繼承了這一傳統,然而抒情者魯迅與戰鬥者魯迅的身影持續交雜在抒情歎逝之中,使得這一抒情歎逝變得有別於傳統,而成為一種游移/猶疑的歎逝。也就是說,當抒情者魯迅沈潛於歎逝之中,戰鬥者魯迅隨即警覺而關心著實際的生存出路,於是在歎逝之中發出懷疑,進而卻步抽身。 |

In this paper I point out the internal conflict in Lu Xun's mind when he was nostalgic for fleeting times in his short stories "Huaijiu" (Reminiscence of the Past), "Shangshi" (Regret for the Past), and "Zai Jiuloushang" (In the Tavern). I take guidance from Leo Ou-fan Lee, who showed that there are numerous contrasts and conflicts to be found Lu Xun's thoughts and behaviors in his book Voices from the Iron House: A Study of Lu Xun Bloomington. Lu Xun has long been seen as a true revolutionary fighter, not only because of the way the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has shaped his image, but also because of his famous short story "Kuangren Riji" (Dairy of a Madman), which he wrote with a distinct revolutionary purpose, and which is widely considered to be the origin from which Lu Xun's literary life emerged. This essay begins by arguing that in fact "Huaijiu," which was written seven years before "Kuangren Riji" was printed, is one of multiple points of origin or emergence for Lu Xun's literary career. Subsequently, through a close reading of "Shangshi" and "Zai Jiuloushang," I point out the specific contrasts and conflicts to be found in Lu Xun's period as a lyrical writer and revolutionary fighter. In these two short stories we find that the lyrical writer Lu Xun was influenced by Chinese lyrical tradition, and that he indulged lamenting for fleeting, past times just as poets from the time of Nineteen Old Poems (Gushi Shijiushou) did. Conversely, the revolutionary warrior Lu Xun concentrated on fighting for a new brave future for his fellow citizens, and refused to indulge in lamentation. |
