Caching in Information-Centric Network (ICN) is critical to the performance of entire network. Many caching strategies have been proposed to optimize the overall cache hit ratio. These researches focus on placement of cached objects, i.e., choosing a router or routers to store copies. The replacement policy of an individual router, however, is less discussed. In this paper, we introduce a Centrality-Aware Hybrid Replacement (CAHR) scheme that separates ICN routers into LRU and LFU ones. Such manipulation not only improves average hit ratio of the network, it also makes the network more resilient to workloads of various patterns. Moreover, CAHR enables orchestration of multiple replacement policies in one network. |
