Computing systems and services are now required to provide services with flexibility, quality, and intelligence. Information technology is moving toward a new 〞software-defined〞 (SD) era that makes computing system more smart and flexible. Currently, the Software-defined technique mostly applied in hardware and infrastructure. However, Software-defined paradigm can be applied to information service in wider scope. Software-defined can make traditional system to react or adjust elastically and smartly based on operating environment and circumstances. In this paper, we proposed software-defined mechanism to existing computer software systems to software defined systems. With minor modifying system architecture using design patterns, our SD mechanism will make traditional system have SD characteristics. We experimented proposed method into the health care system and blood pressure monitoring system. Result shows that SD mechanism may perform more efficient and flexible than the original system. |
