從環境永續觀點探討戶卡公共藝術的媒材使用

自古至今人類為追求物質的生活，創造了無限可能，科技的發展生活的便利，卻無法滿足無限的慾望，透過藝術，使人在精神方面獲得填補。當代藝術家的作品從室內的展出，轉往戶外的設置，對於戶外環境的影響極大。當今科學家提出地球暖化的危機，戶外的藝術作品除了美化環境之外，創作媒材的使用，應以保護生態環境為首選。本文以個案分析的方法，針對藝術家的創作材料，對環境的永續特性。透過本研究整理，初步的瞭解那些類別的媒材，對環境的永續性較佳，並期望戶外公共藝術能為環境保護盡一份力量。研究的結果發現，眾多的公共藝術作品中，能使用在地材料，並與土地接近的物質，確實比較能對於環境永續，有正向的回饋。藉由本研究發現提出建議：1.媒材的選擇如能比較親土地與在地性，且可回歸塵土滋養大地，對於環境的維護是較正面的。2.作品經過時間的淬鍊、損壞或已不適合於環境，地區應有回收或遷移的機制。3.作品所用的材料，本質上應適合於所設置的環境，如此將產生較佳的視覺效果。

Mankind has created infinite possibilities to pursue material life since ancient times. As technological development and convenient life cannot satisfy boundless desire, people fill up their spirit through the art. Transferring works of contemporary artists displayed indoors to set up outdoors greatly influences outdoor environment. Based on the crisis of global warming from scientists nowadays, the creative media use for outdoor public artistic works should be the first eco-friendly choice in addition to beautifying the environment. This article based on case analysis aims at artists’ creation material on environmental sustainability. It may have basic understanding of which kinds of media material through this study for better environmental sustainability, expecting to do the part of outdoor public arts for environmental protection. The study concludes that those using local materials among lots of public artistic works to close to the land actually can have positive feedback from environmental sustainability. The proposals from this study are offered as follows: 1. Once the chosen media are more local and natural will finally return to the earth, which will also be friendly to the land. 2. If the works being worn out or damaged by time that barely exist, should there be a reasonable system to remove or put them away. 3. The media of works should be suitable to the environment in order to have a better vision.
