茨林圍位於澳門半島著名地標大三巴牌坊正後方，世界文化遺產緩衝區內，大炮臺山的山體延伸。這裡曾經是聖保祿學院一部分，被舊圍牆包裹。十六世紀，日本禁止天主教期間，部分教徒曾居住于此。鴉片戰爭之後，葡萄牙開始對澳門作整體規劃，填海造地，原本的城市肌理在都市更新的過程中逐漸消失，隨著澳門經濟發展，居住需求增加，地少人多的結果是房地產商對空間的壓縮，將低矮的房屋匯集成高層住宅，在這現代化的過程中，承載居民記憶的場所一去不復返，而今，茨林圍成為澳門半島上唯一圍村。本文以場所精神為理論基礎，從文獻回顧中，探討茨林圍的歷史發展脈絡，通過直接觀察，田野調查對茨林圍空間現況進行分析整理，以瞭解茨林圍內的場所特性，人與環境的關係，尋找居民生活在其中的方向感與認同感為何，作為緊鄰旅遊區的聚落，旅客對其態度為何。希望通過對茨林圍的研究，為日後的規劃改造作參考。

Pátio do Espinho is located just behind Ruínas da Antiga Catedral de São Paulo, the famous landmark on the Macau Peninsula. Belong to the buffer of World Heritage, the mountain of Monte extends. It used to be part of the Colégio de São Paulo and was surrounded by old walls. In 16th century, when Catholicism was banned in Japan, some of the believers had lived there. After the Opium War, Portugal began to overall plan Macao and reclaim land. The original urban fabric disappeared in the process of urban renewal. With the economic development of Macau, the demand for residence has increased, and the result of the land shortage is the real estate business. Compression of space brings together low-rise houses into high-rise housing. In this modernization process, the place for residents’ memories has gone forever. Nowdays, Pátio do Espinho has become the only village in the peninsula in Macau. Based on the theoretical of Genius Loci, this article discusses the historical development of Pátio do Espinho from the literature review. Through direct observation, the field investigation analyzed the current situation of Pátio do Espinho space to understand the characteristics of places in Pátio do Espinho, the relationship between human and the environment, and to find out the orientation and identification in which the residents live. The expected results can be used as a reference for the future planning and transformation.
