OBJECTIVE: To understand the current situation and fairness of health resource allocation in Hebei Province from 2011 to 2018, so as to provide reference for optimizing the allocation of health resources and improving the fairness of health resource allocation. METHODS: Relevant data from the Hebei Provincial Health Statistical Yearbook were collected to descriptively analyze the status of health resource allocation in Hebei Province from 2011‐2018; a concentration index analysis was conducted with stata to analyze the fairness of health resource allocation at different economic levels. RESULTS: The total allocation of health resources in each region grew faster from 2011 to 2018, but the allocation gap between regions was larger and less equitable. CONCLUSION: The improvement of the equity of health resource allocation is not very effective, and the government's co‐ordinating role in health planning in Hebei Province should be further strengthened to improve the equity of distribution between regions, so as to provide some reference basis for formulating regional health planning and rational allocation of health resources in Hebei Province.
