In order to further study the technology of simultaneous localization and mapping based on lidar, this paper firstly introduces the development background of mobile robot and the technology of simultaneous localization and mapping based on mobile robot. Then it introduces the theoretical system of simultaneous positioning and mapping technology, including the sensors used, technologies used in positioning and mapping, application scenarios and map types. The algorithm framework of simultaneous location and mapping is described. Finally, the status quo of simultaneous location and mapping at home and abroad and the theoretical value of the research are described.
