Based on the diamond model, combined with the requirements of the comprehensive test zone strategy for local supporting facilities, this paper summarizes the development elements of the comprehensive test zone from the four perspectives of market, talent, capital and technology, and constructs a provincial trade competitiveness evaluation index system composed of 4 primary indicators and 11 secondary indicators. Select the data of the second batch of 11 provinces and cities approved to build the comprehensive test area in 2018, use the entropy weight method to quantitatively describe the development differences of trade competitiveness in different regions, and discuss the data analysis results in combination with the development policies of the comprehensive test area. The purpose is to help a new batch of provinces and cities that have established comprehensive test zones clarify the key points of development and construction and provide scientific basis for the high‐quality development of local trad.
