ESG rating, as an important indicator for evaluating corporate strength, has received increasing academic attention on its impact on corporate performance as well as efficiency. This article empirically investigates the impact and differences of ESG rating on financing efficiency in different industries through financing efficiency as an entry point. The article finds that ESG ratings show a significant positive correlation with financing efficiency in all three industries; however, for each industry, the specific impact of corporate financing efficiency influenced by the three ESG dimensions shows significant inter‐industry differences. Finally, this article puts forward relevant comments on the research results to provide solutions for enterprises in different industries to improve their financing efficiency.
