近年密閉式機櫃的發展潛力已被重視,乃基於具有處理高功率伺服器散熱以及節約能源的優點。本文研究之密閉式伺服器機櫃有幾項創新,首先冷卻單元置於伺服器機櫃內,同伺服器安裝於機櫃內,有利整合機櫃設計。再者冷元件因應伺服器負載供應冷風量,以冷風密閉循環提升散熱效率,且冷卻元件可以改變風扇轉數,配合送風溫度作最佳化控制,有效達到節能之效果。本研究的另一項重要創新為整合在機構門板上的導流裝置,為可拆卸調整高度的三片式導流板,使冷通道達到改善氣流不均之現象,避免伺服器熱點問題。整體而言本研究的冷風密閉循環設計,免除從高架地板引入冷空氣,減少空氣循環路徑大幅減少空調與送風耗功,並減少風量洩漏之問題,根本上提升散熱效率和空調節能。本研究經專利分析後技轉與產業合作製作之「一體式密閉型節能伺服器機櫃」,機櫃內放置仿真伺服器,透過實驗與CFD數值模擬比較驗證其可行性,達到冷熱通道冷風均流效果,克服產業界所面對機櫃底層伺服器過熱問題。 |
英文摘要 |
The development of close type server rack has caught attention in recent years, due to its ability of handling high power servers and reduced energy use. There are a few innovations in this study. First the integration of cooling unit inside the rack for closed cool air circulation. The fan is design with variable fan speed to meet the cooling demand for energy saving. Another important innovation is the in this research is the integration of rack attached three adjustable vanes, three adjustable vanes are used for even distribution of cool air in the cold aisle of the rack. This will also solve the problem of hot spot in the servers. In overall the closed cool air circulation will eliminate the air supply from underfloor greatly shorten the air path and save the fan power energy use. Fundamentally this will elevate the cooling efficiency and save the air-conditioning energy use. Patent search and industrial collaboration was also undertaken with the result of a prototype 'integrated close circulation cooling server rack'. Model servers were installed in the server rack constructed. Experimental measurements and CFD analysis results show the feasibility of the innovations studied. The test results verified good heat removal and even flow for cold and hot passages. The results also showed that the adjustable vanes function to even the flow distribution and avoiding hot spots in the servers. |
