「專業華語課程」(CSP)近年來成為華語教學領域的研究焦點。本研究利用大型語言模型ChatGPT生成科技專業華語課本,嘗試為專業華語教材編寫遇到的困境提供可能的解決方案,並進一步探討以人工智慧輔助教材編寫和教學設計是否能為專業華語課程發展提供更多元且能激發學習動機的教學模式。本文採行動研究法,在師生協作的基礎上,進行前導研究、課文體例、教材生成、教學實踐及師生回饋與討論等,並提出以ChatGPT生成華語教材時應採用的難易度控制和語體調整的具體方案。此外,本文亦指出目前在人工智慧輔助生成華語教材上的限制,包括語體和語氣適切性的控制、篇章的邏輯分析和內容的核實、生詞和語法結構的選擇,以及課文問題討論的設定等等。本研究提出專業華語教材的開發模式,展示了這類大型語言模型在語言教學領域的發展前景,以及師生協作生成專業華語教材的契機。隨著該類技術不斷進步,華語教師亟需密切關注二語學習者如何將大型語言模型應用於語言學習上。本文亦建議相關語言教學單位能將教師、學習者和大型語言模型的互動協作進行統合,發揮人工智慧自主性和多元性之優勢,提升語言教學和學習成效。

英文摘要

In the field of teaching Chinese as a second language, there has been a recent focus on Chinese for Specific Purposes (CSP) and Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL). This study aims to explore how ChatGPT can help address current challenges in Chinese language pedagogy. Our goal is to provide models for the development of professional Chinese educational materials and investigate whether AI-assisted material creation and instructional design can enhance teaching models for CSP and CLIL, making them more diverse, personalized, and motivating. Conducted through action-based research and teacher-student collaboration, this study involves the development of ChatGPT-generated learning materials, the utilization of these materials in the classroom, and an extensive phase of feedback and discussions. It outlines specific approaches for adjusting the difficulty and style of AI-generated CSP materials and establishes best practices for creating instructional content. Moreover, the paper sheds light on the current limitations of AI-assisted material generation; it emphasizes that users have limited control over controlling the tone and style of a text and verifying the content's accuracy. Additionally, it notes that ChatGPT fails to consistently choose appropriate vocabulary and grammatical patterns and struggles to generate quality discussion questions. This paper introduces an innovative approach to developing Chinese teaching materials specifically designed for CSP. It highlights the potential of large language models in language education and emphasizes the opportunities for collaboration between teachers and students in creating personalized Chinese language materials. As these technologies continue to improve, it is crucial for Chinese language educators to closely observe how students utilize AI in their language learning journey. This study suggests that language education institutions should encourage collaboration between Chinese language teachers, learners, and AI tools to promote independent and diverse teaching and learning methods in AI-assisted L2 classrooms.
