Jiboyin became popular in Taiwan in late Qing dynasty. In Shiqi and Zhumeiyin Sheshichao, two Jiboyin style collections in Qing dynasty, we find quantity of Fragrant trousseau style poetry, which were wrote before 1895. Though Jiboyin's contents were mostly about playing, romance and social intercourse, many commentators thought it contained ambitions, and had positive view on it. As jiboyin became popular, fragrant trousseau style started to expand, and became popular in Japanese ruled periods. Jiboyin were thought not only about romance, but had lot of conscious of resistance, and had it's significant meaning.
