台灣童話繪本《生肖十二新童話》之敘事策略探究

「童話繪本」是臺灣當代新興的創作文體，兼具童話和繪本創作元素，其圖畫和文字必需相輔相成以推進故事情節。本文探究《生肖十二新童話》之敘事策略，在文字敘事上，主要以俄國形式主義批評家普洛普（V.I.propp）在《俄國童話型態學》提出童話的「功能和事目」說作為本文分析的依據。十二則童話中，其人物功能均涵蓋在普洛普的三十一個事目中，「二重性」增強敘事節奏，唯部分敘事次序有因果上的錯置。除了童話的敘事結構分析，十二則童話中的圖文關係，部分圖文訊息相輔相成，卻也有部份文字訊息過於完整，使得圖畫推進情節的功能減弱，偏傾於插畫性質。「形式即內容」，藉由探究《生肖十二新童話》之敘事結構和圖文關係，得以解讀其內容意涵。

Fairy tale picture book is an up-and-coming creation style in contemporary era. This style includes characteristic of both fairy tale and picture book, which indicates pictures and words should complement each other on extending the plot of story. In the paper, we study the narrative strategy of "12 Chinese Zodiac new fairy tale". On narrative of words side, our analysis are based on Russian formalist critic V.I.Propp's proposal "characters' actions and behaviors", in "Russian fairy tale Morphology". In the 12 fairy tales, all functions of the characters are covered in Propp's 31 behaviors. "Duality" strengthens the narrative, and only some orders of causal relationship of narrative are misplaced. Not only do we analyze the structures of narrative, but also the relationship between picture and words in the 12 fairy tales. Some of the pictures and words can complement each other, but there are some parts that the information passed from the words is too complete, which makes the pictures less functional, or even reduce the function of extending the plot. Furthermore, this situation makes the pictures turn into decoration illustrations. "Format are the content". By studying the narrative structure and the relationship between picture and word of" 12 Chinese Zodiac new fairy tale, we can understand the deep meaning of the content.
