歷史關懷與詩性特質的交鋒－李渝《溫州街的故事》與林燿德《一九四七高砂百合》比較

李渝《溫州街的故事》與林燿德《一九四七高砂百合》二書同樣發表於九○年代初期，也同是解嚴之初「贖回歷史」小說中的兩部重要作品。李渝和林燿德皆透過了詩性的語言特質、思維與敘事方式，在小說中傳遞了他們的歷史關懷。他們的歷史意識都重視個人私情與慾望，而不在探索宏大歷史的來龍去脈，追尋其因果關係與線索。本文以「詩化小說」特質的研究成果參照考察兩部小說的詩性表現，內容主要分為兩個部分入手探討，一是敘事方式的差異、一是意象使用差異；而這兩方面的探討，也牽涉到情節、節奏、意境、氛圍等問題。敘事方式的差異，表現出兩人處理歷史事件的手法差異；意象敘事差異，則傳遞了兩人相異的歷史感性。面對歷史，李渝以審美藝術來超越，在踏實生活中感受各種情感，展現真實沉厚的人間歷史，外冷內熱；林燿德則是懷抱懷疑的立場，思索人類在原始本能下的侷限，表面創造激盪刺激的感官意象，實則有解構意圖，外熱內冷。兩位作家透過詩與小說的結合，在不同的書寫歷史手法下，表現了不同的藝術成果。

Both Stories on Wenzhou Street by Yu Li and Taiwanese Lily in 1947 by Yaode Lin were published in the early 1990s, and both of them are important works among the novels under the category of "redemption of history" which appeared soon after the lifting of martial law in Taiwan. Both Yu Li and Yaode Lin expressed their concern for history in their novels through the poetic characteristics of languages, poetic thinking and poetic ways of narration. Their historical consciousness has the emphasis on personal feelings and desires instead of exploring the origin and course of development of macro-history and investigating the causal relationship and clues in it. The study adopted the research results of the study on the characteristics of "poetic novels" as reference in order to investigate the poetic expression in these two novels. The contents of the study can be divided into two parts of exploration. The differences in their ways of narration were discussed in one part, and the differences in their use of images were discussed in the other part. However, the exploration of these two aspect also involved issues concerning the plots, tempos, situations with images, as well as the atmosphere in the works. The differences in the way of narration show the differences in the manners which the two writers adopted to handle historical events in their works; The differences in the use of images in narration show the different sensibilities of them toward history. When facing history, Yu Li achieved transcendence with aesthetics and felt various kinds of feelings in actual daily life. She presented the true and heavy human history to readers, which indicates that there was passion inside her mind covered by her cold expressions; Yaode Lin took the world from a point of view with suspicion and thought the restrictions by the primitive instincts of human beings over. He created stimulating and violent sensory images on the surface of narration, but he actually had the intent of deconstruction, which shows that he had a calm mind under his passionate expressions. Through the combination of poetry and fiction, both of the two writers showed different artistic achievements with different ways of writing about history.
