The objective of this study is to investigate and compare the levels of knowledge, attitudes, and preventive behaviors regarding dengue fever in areas with high and low disease prevalence. Data was collected from the population in the catchment area of Panichsangsuk primary care unit, 7 communities, in November 2017, using a questionnaire. Data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, inferential statistics, and independent t-test. The study found that 62.86% of the population were female. 57.14% were aged between 31 and 59 years old, with an average age of 43 years. 80% of the population had education level lower than a bachelor's degree, 35.71% had own business, 20% were employees. 64.90% (Mean = 12.98, SD = 1.94) had knowledge about dengue fever and its prevention was moderate, The attitude towards dengue fever prevention and control was positive (Mean = 0.72, SD = 0.11), and the behavior in dengue fever prevention was appropriate (Mean = 2.34, SD = 0.39). When comparing the levels of knowledge, attitudes, and preventive behaviors regarding dengue fever between the two areas, there were statistically significant differences (p < 0.05). However, there was no significant difference in attitude levels between the two areas. The mean levels of knowledge, attitude, and behavior in the area with high disease prevalence were lower than the mean levels in the area with low disease prevalence, indicating that these factors may affect the prevalence of dengue fever. Further research is needed to identify specific factors affecting knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors related to dengue fever prevention in different areas.
