Lately, the development of intelligent products has become prominent, because it improves the convenience of people’s lives. The technological advancements that comes with the intelligent products provide a wide range of intelligent features to meet the different consumer demands.
This study summarizes the four key features of intelligent products, combines them with TRIZ tools, to build a set of “Intelligent Product Development Process”. To achieve this, firstly this study defines a scenario on how to use the intelligent product, secondly finds the problems and customer requirements of the product. Then collects data from the problems and requirements and the data is used as a blueprint to design intelligent product. Lastly, this study uses TRIZ to solve the problem from the new design. To illustrate this methodology, this study takes the products as examples. This study hopes that the proposed approach can be used as a reference for the development of intelligent products in the industry.
