棒球投球動作是上肢高度神經肌肉協調、軀幹及髖關節旋轉作用及下肢肌力與耐力等整體的結合；這個精密的統合動作只要稍有偏差，便會對肩關節及相關的組織造成壓力而導致手臂傷害。在探討投手肩傷的主題下，本篇報告描述投球動作、分析肩傷原因，並針對投手手臂傷害特殊性，整理出肩傷處理及預防之道。

The baseball pitching mechanism combines a high level of neuromuscular coordination in the upper extremity, rotatory movements of the pelvis and trunk, and strength and endurance in the lower extremities. Any interruption of these integrated movements produces additional stress to the shoulder and its surrounding soft tissue structures, and will result in decreased performance. This paper describes throwing mechanism, analyzes pathomechanics of shoulder problems, and presents management and prevention methods of throwing arm injuries.
