The Blended Learning Interpretation Course (the BLI Course) proposed in this paper is a blended learning solution aimed at three main aspects of interpreter training: technique, language, and knowledge. The BLI Course combines the traditional face-to-face physical classroom with the free Massachusetts Institute of Technology OpenCourseWare (MIT OCW) online course, and the online forums on the Teaching Platform of the Chang Jung Christian University (the CJCU Online Forum). Participants were graduate students from the Regular M.A. Degree Program and the M.A. Degree Program for On-the-Job students, Department of Translation and Interpretation Studies, CJCU. After eight weeks of implementation, this paper assesses the effectiveness of the BLI Course through questionnaires and reflective essays from the participants. Overall, participants gave positive responses to the new course design with a high level of satisfaction on the MIT OCW courses and mixed responses to the CJCU Online Forum.
