腎移植接受者容易受到傳染病的傷害，同時對疫苗接種的反應較差。原則上，建議所有的腎移植接受者，依對一般民眾建議的時程表接種不活化疫苗，不建議腎移植接受者接種活菌疫苗；儘管腎移植接受者接種疫苗之免疫反應可能不如免疫功能健全的病人，但於移植前接種者其抗體生成量通常較移植後高，建議所有疫苗盡可能於移植前完成注射，但移植前1個月內不建議接種活菌疫苗。

The harm of infection is higher in kidney transplant recipients (KTRs) than in the general population. In general, we recommend giving all KTRs inactivated vaccines according to recommended schedules for the general population and live vaccinations are contraindicated. Although KTRs tend to have lower immune response compared to immunocompetent individuals, the response to vaccination prior to transplantation is higher compared to immunization in KTRs. We suggest completing recommended vaccination schedules as possible before transplantation but live vaccines are contraindicated within one month before transplantation.
