腎臟老化是複雜且多重因素影響。隨著年紀增長,大多數年長者面臨腎絲球過濾率逐年減低。構造及功能上,腎絲球硬化、腎小管萎縮變短、纖維化、血管及內分泌系統變化等因素,皆是腎功能逐漸惡化的重要原因。性別、基因、氧化壓力及心血管疾病等也會加重腎臟老化、腎絲球及小管功能缺損及促進凋亡等。然而,仍有約三分之一年長者,腎臟功能不隨年紀而減退。瞭解腎臟老化,不只可以試著減緩腎功能惡化,也可以減少不必要的醫療支出。 |
英文摘要 |
The aging kidney is a complex and multifactorial process. As for a large portion of the elderly, declining glomerular filtration rate (GFR) is an inevitably phenomenon because of structure and function changes within kidney aging, including glomerulosclerosis, tubular atrophy, fibrosis, vascular changes and endocrine deficiency. Other factors such as gender, genetic, oxidative stress, impaired repair ability and cardiovascular disease also influence declined renal function and promote renal apoptosis. However, about one-third of the elder individuals still maintain their GFR constantly. To understand about aging process, we may prevent the GFR decline rate and diminish the unnecessary medical treatment. |
