Assessing renal function involves not only medical history, physical examination, and blood tests but also the use of urine analysis, a rapid and convenient tool. In clinical practice, urine analysis is often employed to assist in diagnosing conditions such as urinary tract infections, kidney stones, or glomerulonephritis. This article provides a comprehensive interpretation of both urine dipstick tests and urine sediment examinations. Additionally, it outlines the limitations of each test, enabling a comprehensive assessment for accurate patient diagnosis.
