依據《2022臺灣腎病年報》,2020年臺灣新發生透析人數共12,381人,開始透析年齡平均為67.6歲,透析發生率為每百萬人口525人,高居世界第一位,顯示慢性腎臟病預防及延緩的重要性。臺灣慢性腎臟病是以估計值腎絲球廓清率來判斷腎臟功能,多採用簡化的國際Modification of Diet in Renal Disease公式(abbreviated MDRD),但對於幼兒與高齡病患等特殊族群則不能直接套用,要考慮更多的因素。本篇將針對幼兒與高齡族群在估計值腎絲球廓清率上的侷限性及預測方式做進一步討論。 |

According to the 2022 Annual Report on Kidney Disease in Taiwan, a total of 12,381 new dialysis cases occurred in 2020. The average age at starting dialysis was 67.6 years old, and the incidence rate of dialysis was 525 people per million people. In Taiwan, the estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) is based on the results of the abbreviated Modification of Diet in Renal Disease (abbreviated MDRD), which indicates the kidney function of patients with chronic kidney disease. Glomerular filtration rate (GFR) is the best overall index of kidney function, but it can't be applied directly to special populations such as young children and elderly patients. This article will further discuss the limitations and prediction methods of estimated glomerular filtration rate in young children and elderly. |
