本文透過分析18位女性攝影家的自拍像,檢視這類攝影藝術特有的「私我」與現實世界的交互作用關係,及其經由扮裝自拍呈現自我形象、自我詮釋或諧擬他人的多重自我,開啟另類觀看私我的方式,讓自拍像有別於肖像照,進而闡述其自身的生命歷程、聲張女性身體的自主權、性別政治主張與認同,形成對女性及弱勢群體關懷的私我寫真。本文分成「西方女性攝影家的私我寫真」以及「東方女性攝影家的私我寫真」兩大部分,解析這群女性攝影家如何使用自己的身體做為創作媒材,探索純屬女性的生命經驗,書寫私我的內心世界,以及批判世界加諸於女性的刻板印象,並積極地重新詮釋生命存在的本質,重構傳統符號的再現與性別認同,對女性被物化、情慾化的現象提出嚴正抗議。筆者試圖透過分析她們的自拍像,體驗這些女性在生命中遇到的各種事件、生活體驗以及對女人存在本質的追問之表現,同時比較東、西方女性攝影家關注議題及表現手法的差異。

英文摘要

This research reviews the relationship between the "private-self" elements within this form of photographic art and the real world through the study of the self-portraits of 18 female photographers; in addition to the new form of "private-self" viewing achieved through masquerade self-portraits in expressing oneself, interpretations of self or multi-selves through mimicking others. Self-portrait distinguishes itself apart from other portraits through elaborations and descriptions on one's journey of life, the autonomy of the female body, and the advocacy and recognition of sexual politics; thereby becoming private-self photography album for females and the disadvantaged. The research text is divided into two main sections -- "Private-self Photography of Western Female Photographers" and "Private-self Photography of Eastern Female Photographers". It analyzes how these female photographers utilize their own bodies as creational media to explore life experiences specifically for woman, to conceptualize in words the inner-world of private-self and provide criticism on the stereotypes applied to female individuals. Furthermore, it actively redefines the true meaning of life, restructuring the apparition of traditional symbols and gender recognition; a serious protest to the objectification and sexualization of women. The writer attempts to analyze how the self-portraits of the female photographers allow others to experience the different occurrences in everyday life of a female individual, the different life experiences and the display of pursuit of the valued of female existence, while comparing the difference in style and portraying methods between Eastern and Western female photographers.
