本例為一位40歲已婚女性，於月經來第一到三天被頭痛所困擾。疼痛指數7－8分，部位以兩側顳側居多，頭痛前無先兆，伴隨後側肩頸部僵硬，疼痛形式為搏動感伴隨緊繃感持續，可達半天之久。中醫認為經期頭痛是由於血虛腦失所養及肝氣鬱滯有關，兩側頭痛也常與情志壓力大有關，加上長期睡眠不佳，加重頭頸部緊繃症狀，採用甘潤滋補、養陰清熱、疏肝解鬱之治療方式。患者自覺頭痛改善，經期頭痛頻率減輕。
英文摘要

This article discusses a 40-year-old woman who has suffered from Menstrual-related headache symptoms for about 8 years. Eight years ago, the symptom of headache became worse after pregnancy, with pulsating sensation accompanied by tightness half a day(Visual Analogue Scale:7-8). She could not take Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) for pain relief due to her own allergic reaction. Because of the above reason, she came to the traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) clinic for help, and the TCM physician diagnosed her with liver stagnation and yin deficiency. The frequency and intensity of Menstrual-related headache decreased after taking the medicine for soothing liver and nourishing yin for several months. As a result, appropriate use of evacuation liver nourishing drugs can relieve the headache during menstrual period.
