這一篇研究報告,敘說的是我在師資培育現場,如何面對攸關性別教育的社會事件,並從中學習的教學行動故事。我採用質性敘說取向,帶出我在「璩美鳳被偷拍光碟片」的時空脈絡下,個人的性別教育觀與大社會的文化、師院學生的價值觀之問,互相衝突、協商、辯證、進而重建意義的行動過程。行動依始,原本我以為,我在對抗的是外面的大社會,我「要」準老師跟我一樣,用「道德正確、政治正確」的論述思考,用行動拒看、拒傳這個偷拍光碟,我用溫柔的勸說包裝我的威權與一廂情願,我以為我在教的是進步的教育思想,卻沒看到自己將學生「定位」在一個疏離的位置上,將學生消音。但是,行動中的持續反躬自省,才發現:當我重新澄清老師與學生的位置,暫時將我的「定見」安置一旁,去「邀請」學生來談談他們如何、因何「觀看」、如何意義化這個事件時,我反而看到準老師各種不同的思考面向,這些面向也「強迫」我修正自己的預設與修正未來可能的教學因應策略,一個朝向民主化的教育也比較有可能出現。我對於什麼是教學,又有了另一番的體會。我以為我在教學生,其實學生用他們的生命,慷慨的教導我這個熱情有餘、方法不足的師資培育者,我們彼此的角色因此有了改變。因著這樣的行動了解過程,我對於未來可以如何在師資培育現場,實踐性別教育的教學知識,有更深刻的紮根於現場的體會。 |
英文摘要 |
In this narrative report, I reflect upon my own teachings in a gender equity education course during the 2001 Chu Mei-fong sex video scandal that sent shockwaves throughout Taiwan. This incident exemplifies the poor treatment of women in a patriarchal and capitalistic society. As a teacher educator, I wanted my students to condemn this video by not circulating and not viewing it. However, even though these preservice teachers publicly condemned the use of pinhole cameras to secretly tape people in the privacy of their own homes, they still scrambled at the chance to view the video on the internet after a tabloid magazine publicized a video disc said to contain footage of Chu having sex with a married man. What was on their minds? Why did they choose to watch this illegal and immoral video? How did they justify their behavior? What response is appropriate regarding such a controversial incident in gender equity education classrooms? By learning to listen to how students derive meaning from gender related social incidents, teacher educators have a better chance of creating a student-centered classroom and disrupting the patriarchal culture that supports such behavior. |
