清初理學家王船山的「論語學」以生命實學為核心,這一套生命實學認為學問的目的在於身心能實實在在受用,並由脩己而治人、敦倫、篤行,由立體而推擴至大用。為求身心能受用,又重視人情人欲,以「理」與「情」的諧和為特質,將情、欲與性、理等量齊觀。船山生命實學對於乾嘉新義理學有很大的影響,戴震主張的「以情絜情」、「理可就情欲求之」、「性兼攝理與非理」、「以理殺人」、「理為殘殺之具」、「德性資於學問」諸說,以及凌廷堪主張的「以情論性」、「以禮修身」、「禮對於形下經驗義的強調」,大致上皆可於船山「論語學」中找到思想的源頭,所以今日重新挖掘船山「論語學」,是很有意義的事,可說明乾嘉新義理學是受到清初理學的影響而產生,所以乾嘉新義理學的產生,並非是梁啟超所說的「理學反動說」,反而是由繼承理學思想而發展出來的義理。 |
英文摘要 |
In the early Ching Dynasty, the logician Wang Chuan-Shan pointed out in his book, The Analects of Confucius, life is based on experience and practice. The aim of learning has the benefit of mind and body. It means one can learn from cultivating oneself governing subjects, developing relationship. To some extent, the goal of learning abides by natural law and will not object to one's will. Furthermore, emotions and desires can be treated as equal to human nature and natural law. Wang's theory put on great influence on the later theory called New Theory. Dai-Zhen asserted that (1) one can understand other's thoughts from oneself: (2) natural law can be found in a mixture of emotion: (3) human nature encloses in natural law and the other parts: (4) natural law can be an excuse to kill a person (5) learning is the cornerstone of virtue, and so on. Other theorist Ling Ting-Kan concluded, One's human nature can be judged from ”one's emotion,” ”one can cultivate oneself from manner,” and ”manner admits the importance on experience.” It might be an error for Liang Chi-Chao's assertion that the New Theory in Ching Dynasty is the counteraction to its former theory. On the other hand, it is derived from it. |
